Nature’s Neighborhoods at Zoo New England’s Franklin Park Zoo has recently been recognized with design awards by both the Boston Society of Landscape Architects and the American Society of Landscape Architects' Florida Chapter.
The Boston jury chose Nature’s Neighborhoods for a Design Merit Award for “the way this project provides a nice counterbalance to traditional zoos with animals in cages. The interesting custom structures and lush plantings create a great educational space and positive interpretive experiences for kids. This successful landscape advances the mission around zoos and conservation of endangered species.”
