In March, just as the pandemic was accelerating, Main Street started Schematic Design for the Montana Heritage Center, a new 50,000sf state history museum in the capitol, Helena. We provided interpretive master planning for the Heritage Center back in 2009, and as we resumed work on the project after a decade-long hiatus we have relied on our slightly hazy memories of the previous project phase and on a strong collaborative relationship with the Montana Historical Society’s project team and with the project architects, Montana-based Cushing Terrell, to compensate for the lack of in-person meetings and workshops. We have been gratified to discover that many of our original concepts remain valid, and excited by the energy and innovative thinking of our Treasure State clients and partners. Click here
